Zinc oxide nanowires‐based flexible pressure sensor

نویسندگان

چکیده

Embedding piezoelectric nanowires within a soft elastomer material should provide superior pressure sensing transducer, exploiting the properties of nanowire while maintaining flexibility. Here, flexible sensor has been fabricated on Kapton substrate and incorporated layer polydimethylsiloxane with embedded zinc oxide as mechanism. In response to applied compressive up 127 kPa, device generated voltage, between electrodes either side nanowire/polydimethylsiloxane layer, sensitivity 23.6 mV/kPa, which is 100 times greater than previously reported nanostructure-based sensors.

Nanocomposite flexible pressure sensor for biomedical applications

A new approach for the fabrication of flexible pressure sensors based on aligned carbon nanotubes (A-CNTs) is described in this paper. The technology is suitable for blood pressure sensors that can be attached to a stent-graft and deployed during an endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) procedure. Given the specifications of EVAR, the device should be foldable (extremely flexible) and characteriz...

An Electrochemical Glucose Sensor Based on Zinc Oxide Nanorods

A glucose electrochemical sensor based on zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods was investigated. The hydrothermal sol-gel growth method was utilized to grow ZnO nanorods on indium tin oxide-coated glass substrates. The total active area of the working electrode was 0.3 × 0.3 cm2 where titanium metal was deposited to enhance the contact. Well aligned hexagonal structured ZnO nanorods with a diameter from 6...

Properties and Sensor Performance of Zinc Oxide Thin Films

Reactively sputtered ZnO thin film gas sensors were fabricated onto Si wafers. The atmosphere dependent electrical response of the ZnO micro arrays was examined. The effects of processing conditions on the properties and sensor performance of ZnO films were investigated. Using AFM, SEM, XRD and WDS, the O2/Ar ratios during sputtering and Al dopant were found to control the property of ZnO films...

Hydrothermal Growth of Zinc Oxide Nanorods and Glucose-Sensor Application

High-quality zinc oxide nanorods were grown on various substrates using zinc nitrate (Zn(NO3)2) and hexamethylenetetramine ((CH2)6N4). The substrates greatly affect the hydrothermal growth of ZnO nanorods. Making the best use the substrate effect, we engineered substrates to make a single nanorod in each hole of 100 nm × 100 nm in the array of the holes on the photoresist-patterned substrate. I...
